
Hiwot Tadesse is a young Ethiopian lady who will complete her Senior year at Richland Collegiate High School this May with a high school diploma and an Associate’s Degree in Science. She is currently working on a research project about how growing up in a low income household affects student’s learning experiences. Her end product will be starting a supply drive and donating the supplies collected, to a non-profit organization that supports low-income students through education. Hiwot is majoring in Biology, and plans to minor in Spanish. She wants to use her Bachelors in Biology to further her education, and go to Medical School to become a Pediatrician. Hiwot is a certified Microsoft Word and PowerPoint specialist. She is an ACE mentor, and a member of the Key club, Multi-Cultural Club, and HOSA. Hiwot has accumulated 20 hours of volunteer service at Kids-Dallas so far, and served for AmeriCorps during the summer of 2016. She enjoys recreational activities like swimming, kayaking, and hiking. Hiwot also loves spending time with her family, and volunteering. Hiwot Tadesse currently lives in Dallas, Texas.
